  • ENT 110: Insect Biology – This course is offered every fall and spring semester, 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in Erikson Hall.  It fulfills the core requirement for natural sciences, and there’s no textbook. The class covers a wide range of topics including insect identification, insect pests, beneficial insects, pests of concern to Kentucky, diseases transmitted by insects, their importance as pollinators and much more.   • Farm-to-Fork Meals for UK Students –UK students may stop by 207 Funkhouser on Wednesdays from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. for free, locally sourced lunches. Come enjoy a free, delicious and nutritious meal as we fight hunger and food insecurity on campus. We can’t wait to see you. Click here for more information.
  • LiveWell Check-In – This fall, you have an opportunity to participate in an integrative health screening. If you're on a UK health insurance plan, you'll receive a $100 rebate. Click here to learn more and to schedule an appointment. Sessions are available through Dec. 12.

  • Oct. 30 – 2018 Lab Safety Fair, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Biomedical Biological Sciences Research Building. Join your colleagues for this year’s safety fair themed “Playing with safety is … GAME OVER.” Attendees will receive a free T-shirt, free food and be eligible for prizes at each booth.   • Oct. 30 – Kentucky Grazing Conference, West, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hopkinsville. The focus of this year's annual conference is "Turning Grass into CA$H." Join us for this daylong program focused on increasing forage production and limiting costs. Click here for more information.
  • Now-Dec. 7 – Elderly Holiday Donation Drop-off, N318 Ag Science Center North. Accepting donations for Dover Manor Nursing Home in Georgetown for the holidays. Donations needed are: shampoo/conditioner combo, shampoo, body wash, shaving cream, lip balm, blankets, powder, hair ties, lotion and deodorant.
