Ag Faculty Council elections

The AFC is composed of 10 representatives who serve 2-year terms beginning May 1st, with five representatives being elected each year.  To learn a little more about the AFC and see a list of current members, please visit: /afc. This serves as the call for nominations to develop a ballot of candidates for the election. Based on the number of nominations received, I will develop a ballot of at least 10 candidates receiving the most nominations. You may nominate yourself and/or other faculty that you think would do a good job in this position. To nominate someone simply send me an email ( with the person's name and department affiliation and indicate "AFC nomination" in the email subject line.  The opportunity for nominations will be open fromMarch 9 to 23.  Elections will be held by on-line secure balloting inlate March and early April.  I will contact the nominees to ensure they are willing to serve if elected. As indicated in an earlier email, we will soon be voting on a revision to the COA Rules of Procedure.  A draft of the proposed version is here for your review and comment.   The existing rules are posted here:  /afcrules.

Please let me know if you have questions or comments and especially if you wish to nominate yourself or a colleague for election to the Ag Faculty Council.   Rick Durham,
