  • Organic CSA Registration Open – Join UK's Organic CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program. By joining today, you can support the next generation of farmers and enjoy a weekly share of vegetables for 22 weeks from May 25 through Oct. 19. The total price is $650 for faculty/staff and $584 for students. Members may choose between two pickup sites on Thursdays: campus pickup at the E.S. Good Barn (4 p.m. to 6 p.m.) or farm pickup at the UK Horticulture Research Farm (3:30 p.m. to 6:30pm).  Click here for more information or email Kristi Durbin.
  • CAFE Language Survey – If you have not already responded to the email request sent April 24, please follow this link to answer a very brief survey in support of the CAFE Strategic Plan Goal to develop relationships with nontraditional/underserved audiences. Your responses will be used to determine the capacity available within our college to communicate in languages other than English. Your responses will also help support the USDA Federal Civil Rights Compliance Review. The survey closes May 12.
  • Summer volunteer opportunity with the Campus Kitchen at the University of Kentucky – Want to get a head start on volunteer hours? Looking for something to do over summer break with your friends, family or a group? Come volunteer and help us recover food, cook meals and deliver those meals to our community partners!   • Now-May 12 –  Benefits Open Enrollment. Please take this opportunity to match your benefits package to your and your family's unique needs.   • May 5 -- First Friday – May Edition – A free breakfast forum hosted by the Food Connection at UK, 7:30 a.m. in Gorham Hall at the E.S. Good Barn.  Exchange ideas and network with university colleagues, students, local producers and advocates for agriculture and food systems. This is the last breakfast before the summer hiatus. Tanya Whitehouse will dish out breakfast beginning at 7:30 a.m. Mac Stone, of Elmwood Stock Farm and director of the Organic Association of Kentucky, will present at 8:30. RSVPs to Carol Spence aren't necessary but helpful for planning. Click here for more information.
  • October 23-25  UK Leadership Forum – Save the Dates! The 2017 UK Leadership Forum is sponsored by UK Human Resources, the Office for Faculty Advancement and the Office for Institutional Diversity. Watch for announcements and registration information later in the year.
