  • Reserve Thanksgiving Bulk Veggie Boxes from UK-CSA – UK-CSA is taking preorders for bulk veggie boxes for the Thanksgiving holiday. Two types of boxes offered: fall greens boxes include items like brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, spinach, kale, celery, popcorn, garlic, herbs and more. Winter storage boxes include items like potatoes, sweet potatoes, assorted winter squashes, beets, carrots, turnips, rutabaga, garlic, herbs and more. Each box is $40. Pickup is Tuesday, Nov. 23 from 4-6 p.m. at the Orange Lot. Reserve online here.
  • Kentucky Extension Diversity Award Nominations Open – We are pleased to support the continuation of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Diversity Award. For the past 26 years, we have been able to recognize Extension professionals who, through targeted efforts, excelled in reaching new clientele. Nominations are open until Nov. 15 and can be submitted here.

  • Agronomy Club Popcorn Sales – The Agronomy Club has grown popcorn at Spindletop Farm this summer, and we are currently selling it as a fall fundraiser in the hopes of expanding activities for our club members in the future! Nov. 12 – Cinema Series: “Minari,” 8 p.m. “Minari” is a film, written and directed by Lee Isaac Chung based on his upbringing. This is a story about struggles and triumphs of an immigrant family from Korea who tries to make living in the rural U.S. as a farm family. View for free in Gatton Student Center theater.

Nov. 16 – Self-Care in Higher Ed: Struggles, Strategies & Successes, 1 p.m. As part of the Kentucky ACE Women's Network Fall Leadership Program,  Justin “Jay” Miller, dean of the University of Kentucky College of Social Work, will present “Self-Care in Higher Ed: Struggles, Strategies, & Successes” at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16. Nov. 18 – Promotion & Tenure Beginnings Workshop, 2-4 p.m. Hosted by the UK Office of Faculty Advancement, experienced faculty administrators will discuss the tenure and promotion process at UK, including detailing the process, advice for preparing your dossier and tips for the pre-tenure years to strengthen your record. Following a brief review of university regulations, the respective roles of the unit administrator, mentors and the candidate will be summarized. Learn more and register here.
