This project will support Dr. Yosra Helmy's attendance at the ASM Microbe 2023 Conference where she will present on potential therapeutics for salmonella infections. Dr. Helmy has expertise is in food safety and public health through the mitigation of important foodborne pathogens. She is working on developing novel therapeutics and antibiotic alternative approaches including small molecules to control these pathogens and mitigate antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in food animals as well as in humans.
