The homeschool population in Meade County has just recently discovered the mulitude ofopportunities availble to them through the 4-H Youth Development Education program. TheMeade County 4-H Homeschool Experience program will take this audience through experientiallearning adventures by immersing members in each of the seven KY 4-H Core Curriculum areas:Agriculture (AG); Natural Resources (NR); Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS); Science, Enginnering & Technology (SET); Health (H); Communication & Expressive Arts (CEA); and Leadership (L).The program will be offered monthly for a 4-hour period of time. Members will be engaged in hands-onlearning and will attend one out-of-county field trip. A community service aspect will be infused by way of a fleece lap blanket project. These blankets will be made by members and delivered to a local nursing care facility for their residents.
