UK faculty and staff may not profit from the sale of self-authored textbooks sold to UK students enrolled in UK classes. It is up to the department to ensure that the use of self-authored books meets the guidance in the Provost Office's policies and procedures on self-authored textbooks. CAFE Office of Faculty Resources, Planning and Assessment has created a form to help chairs collect information on self-authored books and ensure compliance with the university policy. This form does not need to be approved at the college level, and may be kept on file in the department.
